Parody review-in-progress of Doggett’s Beatle book, “You Never Give Me Your Money”

Sung to the tune of the song of the same name. (I blame MAD Magazine for making my brain do this.)

“You never give me your money
I have to suffer through your crazy bullshit
If you knuckles were less narcissistic
You’d work it out.

The one I pity is Ringo
Of the lot of them, he seems most decent
Even George with all his meditation
Acts bitchy.

Paul’s a douche and Klein’s a prick,
John’s on H and Yoko’s thick,
Insisting that she be part of the group.

Everyone believes their press
Meanwhile Apple’s such a mess
You almost start rooting for Lew Grade.

But oh, the one thing missing, is the band
Oh, the only reason, we give a shit
(fans give a shit)
Ahhh, ahh, ahh, ahh, still give a shit
Ahhh, ahh, ahh, ahh yes I’m a twit
The Beatles’ git!

While you four weren’t reuniting,
ELO was less exciting!
You spent ten years shit-inciting
When you could’ve been songwriting!
A decade’s worth of pointless fighting
Snubbing fans whose hand you’re biting…

[I'll write a proper review once I finish the book, which is very worth reading, but quite depressing.]
