A researcher at Harvard University has found that doing a good deed increases one’s willpower and strength. Participants in a study were able to lift a weight or work a handgrip for longer periods of time after doing–or even visualizing–a good deed. Apparently feeling like a hero allows us to be more heroic.
Unfortunately, doing/thinking something evil has an even more powerful effect.
Kinda explains the whole human pickle, doesn’t it?
