Ten days and $822 to go for The Devastator, a proposed humor quarterly based here in LA under the stewardship of Geoffrey Golden and Amanda Meadows. I met with Geoffrey and Amanda yesterday, and they seem like just the people for the job, so anybody out there in favor of print humor should go donate now. Kickstarter only releases the money to a venture IF it makes its funding target, so every dollar is important. You can get a PDF of the book for just $3–what’s not to like?
Not only are Geoffrey and Amanda smart and funny (and love print—why am I encouraging them? I should be WARNING them!), they’re also based out here, where all the comedy writers live. So if The Devastator can get going, it’s got a reasonable chance at actually thriving…Even their promotional video is funny; I can’t seem to embed it, but it’s at the link above.
