So baseball season is in full swing (har) here at Casa del Mike. Got the Gameday Audio package—only $19.95 for hometown radio broadcasts over the iMac, and Mike Shannon’s ridiculous St. Louis accent is worth twice that. Got a good team this year, got a definite underemployment situation, things are lining up perfectly.

Baseball fans will certainly remember George Brett, the Kansas City Royals’ excellent third baseman from the Seventies, Eighties and Nineties. He’s quite a remarkable man—not only was he able to rack up a .305 career batting average over twenty seasons, he also shits his pants twice a year. (If you can believe him, that is; he may be bragging.) Anyway, first a camera caught him talking during warmups; then the video circulated around YouTube; and now someone has made it into a sort of ambient track using Autotune. It’s definitely NSFW, but those of you with a taste for potty humor will definitely enjoy it.

AND ON A MORE DIGNIFIED NOTE: By the way, I LOVE the song “Sunny”—the 60s hit by Bobby Hebb that they use in the remix. God, I wish people still wrote pop melodies like that. Just hearing it again this morning makes me want to quit every job and spend the rest of my life learning about and writing music. If your hair doesn’t stand up when you listen to it, we’re a totally different species, and I humbly ask you to help me return to my home planet.
