Jon calls this "a work of genius"--and I had to pay him almost nothing for the blurb. More mystery and mayhem in the Ivy League, mixing my world with real history to create something entertaining.

I've combed my archives to create this collection of my magazine humor. From The Yale Record to The New Yorker, the best of the pre-Barry years is in here.

My first non-parodic novel is now available! It's school like it ought to be: loud, eventful, and full of swearing!

I'm probably going to Hell for this C.S. Lewis spoof.

The ultimate Harry Potter parody. Three novels, 25 foreign editions, over a million copies sold--it's too much to list here, but you can read excerpts and buy the books at Barrytrotter.com!

post a commentHello, 'Wesian again. Mike, when is that 3rd freakin' book comin' out? If you still don't know, just gimme the name of the month or something. October or September would be good cuz i'm not finished reading the 2nd book. Anyway, if it's this month, IT'S EVEN BETTER. Okay, anyway, when's the book coming out?
Wesian, Dead Horse is coming out in October. The 21st, I think. You can already order it on Amazon.co.uk. I think you'll like it!
Are you kidding me? Of course I'll like it, heck I already have the 2 books! I saw the 3rd cover. I can't wait to get my hands on those! Finally, a pic of dog brained Lon and Smart-Ass Ermine! Tell your illustrator he's the greatest!
Oh, and another thing... Are you working on the 4th book or are you just waiting the 3rd to be a big hit first and THEN work on the 4th?
'Wesian, whether or not there's a fourth BT will totally depend on the sales of the third book. I didn't expect to do the second, then they asked me to; I certainly didn't expect to do the third, then they asked me to again. If BT3 does great, then they'll probably ask me to do another. It's in the hands of the fans, to coin a phrase. Barry's the only parody *series* I know of, and that's come about simply because people have liked them.
Meanwhile, I'm nearly finished with a comic novel about University, and have started working on a parody of "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe," which should be done by Xmas. So there will definitely be plenty of new stuff in 2005. I would have to stop sleeping to do BT4 then, too, but if people show they want it, who am I to say no?
Okay, thanks.
